    Don't care how many all-stars your lineup has, or how many millions your payroll is:

    When your season comes down to Jaret Wright, Cory Lidle, Scott Proctor and the like ...

    (You woulda thunk the Boss would have realized that this "throwing money at 'em" strategy didn't work in the '80s. Why's he ever think it's going to work now?)

    Well, the question is deeper than that. Think Mike Scott clinching the NL West in '86. He clinched with a "special" effort. I don't want to see the word with Bonderman on track to clinch this series with a "special" effort.
