Leyland on a real short list taking three franchises to the LCS, right?

I know La Russa is there?

    Who else?

Hey, the Braves are gone. And now the Yankees. One victory at a time, eh?

Now that the Tigers have served a suprising purpose in getting the fucking Yankees out of here:

    LET'S GO A'S!

Have a feeling that the Tigers are setting a template future on-field celebrations.

Last thing I want is that Beane asshole having his ego further justified.

Jeez could they stop it with the David and Goliath talk? The Tigers DID have the best record in baseball for much of the season. This isn't fucking Chaminade over Virginia, you assbags.

Just got back from a sports bar, where I've been watching Yankees-Tigers and college football for the past five hours with a huge Tigers fan. I've got this much to say -- NEVER assume you can hand out trophies.

The Yankees lost when a team of destiny (2001), then to no-names (2003), then went from one strike away from going to the World Series to the biggest postseason collapse anyone has seen (2004). Each time, we were supposed to assume the Yankees would steamroll everyone and win it all ... each time, they lost.

You can't help but feel good for the Tigers, watching them douse the fans in champagne during this celebration. It's been a long time coming for the Tigers, and this is simply great to see.
