Three minutes. Give or take a couple of seconds.

Not if you listened to anyone outside of Detroit this past week. And look, this is their first playoff series since 1987. It's not like they go to the playoffs every season, like the Yankees. This doesn't happen all the time in Detroit. Let them enjoy the moment.

Billy Martin -- Twins ('69), Tigers ('72) and Yankees ('76-77), led A's to '81 ALDS
Dick Williams -- Red Sox ('67), A's ('71-73), Padres ('84), led Expos to '81 NLDS

    Tony La Russa -- White Sox ('83), A's ('88-90), Cardinals ('96, '02, '04-05 ... '06?)
    Jim Leyland -- Pirates ('90-92), Marlins ('97), Tigers ('06)
    Bill McKechnie -- Pirates ('25), Cardinals ('28), Reds ('39-40)
    Davey Johnson -- Mets ('86, '88), Reds ('95), Orioles ('97)

Many led 2 franchises to at least LCS or WS (Sparky, Cox, Torre, Bucky Harris, Joe McCarthy, Durocher, Piniella, Al Lopez, etc.)

I, for one, think the David & Goliath stuff is justified.

The TIGERS -- a team that had 12 straight losing seasons before 2006 -- just beat the Yankees. In the playoffs. That's unreal.

I tell you what, if I see Kenny Rogers running at me with a bottle, I'm a little worried. He looks like Christian Bale in American Psycho running around like that.

DAMN IT. McCarver is working the Dodgers-Mets game.

This will be an unbiased booth tonight.

    Imagine: Beane v. Bonderman.

Much will be made about the "Moneyball Series."

That would be relevant if this was the Tigers' 1994-2006 best-of team vs. the Yankees' best-of team from that time, but Detroit was really good this year! Whether anyone outside of Detroit believed it would last doesn't matter.

Now you want David, get a non-Mets NL team to win the Series.

A team that, three years ago, came one loss from tying the friggin' 1962 Mets. Totally justified.
