You can't earn FRAUD status by advancing to the World Series, can you? ;)

And just think ... it started with a loss to Kansas City. ;)

Mitchie has always fancied himself a sort of new-age Faulkner, just without the charm or the grace.

Imagine having your season rest on the arm of Oliver Perez? I can't imagine it.

Casty, considering that the dominant starting pitching performances of this post-season have been by Kenny Rogers and Jeff Suppan, resting on the arm of Oliver Perez is probably better than resting on the arm of Lefty Grove.

Marlins fans felt that way about Al Leiter in Game 7 against Cleveland 9 years ago.

Just FYI, there's rain in the forecast for St. Louis for today and tomorrow. Whichever way this series goes, Mother Nature may be the MVP.

If that happens and the games do get pushed back, that would take a potential game 7 to Friday, with game 1 of the World Series on Saturday.

Have they ever started the World Series the day after the and of an LCS?

This is really dangerous for the Tigers.

Possibly. But if that happens, the Mets or Cardinals also wouldn't be able to set up their rotation at all. Just throw the next guy in line.

Life's a bitch, then you marry one. Or you pick the A's and Mets to play in the World Series and if the Cards keep playing like they are, I'll be dead wrong twice. Glad I don't do sports betting.
