Whatever Oz. Your fingers are going click-click-click but I'm paying no attention to you, Mr. Bandwagon Jumper Who Is Now Humping The Mets.

It's too bad. I thought you were the type of guy I could get along well with at a ballgame, maybe even the type of guy who might share a fondness for diminutive speed demons with absolutely no power. But no. No, our friendship is over before it ever really began. Goodbye Oz. :'( :D :D :D ;D

Just remember, I'm pulling for the Mets for this series, and this series only. I already got dibs on Detroit in the World Series because A) All their former Pirates, and B) They give Royals fans hope.

Everything about Beltran's history indicates that last year was the aberration, not this year. And it's hard to say he would have crumbled under the pressure of being a Yankee when he's been in two postseasons and absolutely crushed the ball both times. Call him a complementary player if you want, but I have a hunch the Cardinals would disagree.

If there's a Game 7, Willie has to start Darren Oliver. I don't think Trachsel will ever throw another pitch for the Mets again.

Did somebody actually compare John Lackey to Steve Trachel?

    Lackey is, uh, actually good.

Michael Gee, you were correct and I apologize to fans of Oliver Perez, if there are any. Whoddathunkit? And now, while I agree Steve Trachsel won't pitch again in this series (or ever), my Game 7 choice, if there is one, is none other than Oliver Perez. Remember, Darren Oliver did his work with a large deficit, which meant there wasn't any real pressure on him. I'd go with Perez and the bullpen.

Plenty of room here Oz. Come join the party.

Watched Delgado from the very beginning of his career: started in the Jays organization as a catcher, then moved him to right field where he was a disaster. He's not the greatest first basemen but he makes up for it with his bat.

When Ricciardi came in, he couldn't dump him or his salary quickly enough.

Anyway, good for Carlos. Seems like one of the good guys.

And a Mets/Tigers World Series would be great.

No problem. I've got a couple Detroit friends who will go nuts if the Tigers can win this.
