I don't have a horse in this race, but that's just another example of why Fox blows. Could you give me a look at where that pitch was on your freakin' Fox Trak? That's why that dopey-ass shit is there, right? No, I have to see a closeup of every fan in the stands until they're repeating people.

Oh, and please Buck and McCarver, make fun of Hispanics or some other ethnic group. Please, I'm begging you.

Mild threadjack: but how does the FoxTrax thing work? Is it some guy in the production trailer that draws that or is there a special camera that focuses only on the pitch thrown?

If my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle...

Doesn't matter. You can't take that pitch with two strikes.

Even though Guillermo didn't allow a run, the Mets are still Mota-rin' right out of the LCS. [Hi, BYH!]

The NYPD will have plenty of time to prepare for the angry crowd filing out of Shea tomorrow night. The Cards are going to bury the Mets early.

    Edit: MOTA-RIN AHAHAHAHAHAH!!! Genius.

The entire postseason has pretty much been ass backwards. Everyone thought the Tigers and Cards had no chance going into the playoffs, and here they are. The Dodgers were supposed to give the Mets trouble and they didn't. The Yankees had the best lineup ever assembled and they didn't hit. Kenny Rogers was clutch. Carpenter got hit hard by the Mets and Suppan pitched great. Oliver Perez didn't suck. The extra day of rest was supposed to help Glavine and it didn't.

So I hope everyone assumes the Cards will win Game 6.

Joe, I know you're a big Mets fan and I'm...not, but stripping away allegiances, it's really hard to envision the Mets winning the next two games, even at home.

So where exactly has David Wright gone? Where's that AL-type lineup? Guess if the Mets lose, we can chalk up that talk to the same hype that compared this Yankees lineup to the 1927 version.

Well, the Cardinals in the World Series will at least again allow me the opportunity to see Scott Rolen gag on baseball's biggest stage.

    0-for-15 and counting.

Maybe his shoulder will get tired again.

Not for nothing, but I don't think I've ever seen as much venom directed by fans to a former player as I have by Phillies fans towards Rolen. Why is that?

Rolen strikes me as a whiny dude (Bobby Knight's recruitment of him must have lasted about eight seconds) who won't be in MENSA anytime soon. but why the venom?
