This argument is so last month, I'm done with it.

No, I'm just smart enough to see we're going in circles for the zillionth time, so there's no point in wasting any more time on this subject. We just have to agree to disagree.

You just AGREED that those numbers in the playoffs didn't cut it.

    BETTER numbers against BETTER competition.

    Small-minded, cowardly twit.

Nice words coming from a bull-headed, arrogant prick such as yourself. Boy, your wife and kids must love the shit out of you.

Why the hell can't you just agree to disagree?

Oz is surely not a small-minded, cowardly twit because he disagrees with you on the NL MVP.

He's as good a dude as there is on the site and it doesn't say much for you that the only person I can think of who has ever engaged him in name-calling is.....you.

First, the renewal of teh discussion was based on an event that just ended, lending further context to the discussion, to me.

He's a twit for not admitting... "You know what, I'm wrong" when he's sitting there chirping about how Pujols didn't play like an MVP in the Mets series, and yet he still can't see the point about Howard hitting like Luis Castillo the final three weeks as the Phillies sunk.

I wouldn't have said a thing back to the rube if he had simply been consistent and said, "Oh yeah, I think Pujols played like an MVP in that series."

Then, I would have chalked it up that IBBs are his determinant for MVP and we would agree to disagree.

I don't forget which assholes have taken shots at me, as scud-inaccurate as they may be. You got that right. I would expect the same.

And his inconsistency/hypocrisy brought this back up. I would never have simpered off like he did with that weak fucking response.

My crew of good posters on this board apparently is very different than yours.

MVPs are awarded for regular season performance, not postseason performance. Therefore, what Pujols has done the past two weeks is irrelevant to the conversation. Just saying.

Now, here's the thing -- you originally asked, "So ... was Pujols held in check ... or did he perform like an MVP?" I took the question as I thought you meant it, which is, how did he look in the NLCS? I never said that Pujols didn't deserve the MVP in this thread because both he and Howard are very deserving candidates. In fact, I voted for Pujols before Howard went on that late tear to bring the Phillies back into the wild card chase.

Go ahead, have at it and call me some more names.

Did anybody use the headline: "Yada, yada, yada ... and the Mets lost"

You're right. Instead of "simpering off" you would have called him a fucking child molesting sack of shit unworthy of taking another breath, or something.

Regardless of where he falls on this issue...if you fail to recognize Oz as one of the good guys, you're pretty much blind.

Well, I don't think he is a child molester.

I guess it depends on what degree of "goodness" you are applying to him.

Why is the third guy in the studio show on Fox (Eric Byrnes, maybe?) screaming at me? Goodness this is painful to listen to.

I can't stand "studio" shows that go on the road. I really don't think listening to the announcers try to shout over the fans brings anything to the broadcast. In fact, I think it greatly detracts from it.
