Weird decision by Perlozzo (sp?) in Baltimore today. Runners on second and third and one out and he intentionally walks Casey Blake so he can have lefty John Parrish face Travis Hafner with the bases loaded. Yes, you read it right. He walked Blake to get to Hafner. I understand that Hafner has scuffled a bit against Baltimore, but that's just ridiculous. Hafner usually has a lot of success against lefties, too.

It did sort of work. Hafner struck out, but then Parrish walked Victor Martinez to force in a run and gave up a two-run single to Trot Nixon.

Then Hafner hit a grand slam the followinig inning to break the game open.

And Carmona had another strong performance to drop his ERA below 3.00.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

Edward Mujica brought up today too by the Indians.

I bet he's closing for them by mid-July.

Unless they need him to stay in the rotation. Sowers hasn't been great and Westbrook still has to get healthy.

I was referring to Mujica, not Carmona.

Doug Pederson will be starting at QB for the Brownies before Carmona is closing for the Indians again. :D

And another thing: Is it just me, or does Barry Bonds' body -- particularly his head -- seem a lot bigger than when he was with the Pirates?

What can I say? I notice things.
