For an unabashed mariners fanboyloser, what a supremely satisfying split.

Phelps AND Proctor are bitches for the crap they pulled yesterday.

    Concession: Bloomquist was out.

    The pitching he had?

You mean Tom Glavine (14-16 postseason career) and Greg Maddux (11-14 postseason career)?

Or do you mean all those great bullpens he misused, the ones with the immortal Alejandro Pena, Mike Stanton, Mark Wohlers, Kerry Ligtenberg or John Rocker as closers?

Throwing a better curveball to Scott Leius could have won the Braves the 1991 World Series.

Throwing a fastball instead of a slider to Jim Leyritz could have won the Braves the 1996 World Series.

Two pitches. Changed the entire complexion of two World Series. That's called: C-R-A-P-S-H-O-O-T.

Hard to blame Cox for that. Harder still to blame Cox for his two Hall of Fame starters being below .500 in the postseason.

Cox has made his share of questionable moves (bringing Leibrandt in to face Puckett in Game 6). But so has Joe Torre. Having two pitches back -- two pitches, over the course of thousands -- could mean Cox has three rings and we're not having this discussion. That's all it takes.

I will pay you the highest compliment I can pay anyone on this board. When you're on the other side of an argument, you know you're in for a fight. I'm aware of the numbers ... and I think you can blame a lot of that on Cox being one of the best in the history of the game in the regular season and average to below average in the postseason. Those Braves teams weren't as good in the playoffs as they were in the regular season, and I think that goes back to the manager. Of course, you could just as easily argue that he had them playing above their heads in the regular season and that their weaknesses were easily exposed in a postseason matchup, but I don't buy that.

And I love Bobby. Really, I do.

I'm not saying it was a bad call, but Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles want the second base ump to see their optometrists.

Abreu has been useless this season.

Just when I am losing hope... I see a post as loaded up as this one.

    Well done.

Clint Hurdle just got tossed after telling the umpires in St. Louis they were full of shit. And he was right.. that was a bad call they missed, taking a homer away from Tulo-alphabet.

Apparently, Willie Randolph decided to start Anthony Young in San Francisco tonight.

Bad call on a two-run HR that wasn't by Molina. Conseutive 2-out errors by Easley and Green ... then Perez blew up and Lio Urdeneta poured gason the fire.

Might have had another one in 85 too... but I honestly don't know a damn thing about that ALCS, other than KC came back to win from a 3-1 deficit.

I'm not going to go so far to say that the NL Central standings are driving me to ... you know ... pleasure myself.

But they're really starting to turn me on.

Damn, Bub, that's the scariest ONJ picture I've ever seen. Just to counterbalance it ...
