Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

The hot dogs were damn good. And, believe it or not, I was impressed with the stadium/dome - VERY impressed. And this was my 10th MLB park in which I've watched a game.

Right up until they ship his ass out of town. I don't have a problem with it.

That wasn't what I was asserting.

Surely they're making calls all day, every day to get rid of Junk. Surely ...

But what they'll probably do is deal Murton to the Braves for a "can't miss" prospect who will miss and two dead fungos. Then Murton will hit .310 as Atlanta's every day left fielder.

I actually don't mind this move, because Pie needs to play every day. I'm just holding out hope that Hendry can do the one thing he's not bad at (save for Pierre) and make a good trade involving Junk.

EDIT: No need to make another Cubs post, so I'll just use this info I found...

Junk Jones vs. left-handers the past 3 years: 650 OPS
Zambrano vs. left-handers the past 3 years: 655 OPS

Maybe Junk could pitch the first inning of every Zambrano start against a left-hander and then go to the clubhouse and play with his iPod.

Surely an every day Murton is better than what they've had in left, and that kid hits well as an every day guy. Maybe they'll try to get Floyd.

I remember when Tanyon Sturtze was gonna be the Devil Rays' first star pitcher.

And I used to love when the Trib would do its "Ex-Cub of the Week" blurb.

Wasn't Pat Rapp gonna be the Marlins' first ace?

As Fenian might say, "Jesus wept."
