Gold, my fired, Farnsworth sucks... but in the case of Clemens, he's right.

And dissension in the corporate clubhouse is always a good thing.

The Cubs have extra outfielders and pitiful relievers. A trade perhaps?

He may be right, but he's arguably the last guy on that team who should be speaking up.

    Oh well...it's still fun.

You can't lose a game when you have a 5-1 lead in the 9th inning with your closer on the mound. You just can't. Lou said earlier this week that he was going to make changes in his bullpen. Well, we're waiting.

(Anybody think Lou is sorry he took this job?)

Did you say the "Well, we're waiting" part like Judge Smails? Because I just did. And if I were a Cubs fan, that's probably just how I'd feel.

I just got home, and on the way here, I saw a church marquee that said "He who angers you controls you."
Well, it's official: I'm the bitch of the entire Cubs bullpen.
    Just pitiful.

What exactly could Pinella do that would have made a difference today, other than maybe not bringing in his closer in a non-save situation. I know it sounds silly, but some of these guys just putz around too much when they come on without a save on the line and before you know it, they are in real trouble. Even dominant closers like Joe Nathan occasionally have this problem.

Based on past performance, Dempster is pretty shaky, but who else are the Cubs going to put in there? So far, he has been their best reliever. He has had two lousy outings among his 17 appearances. In the other 15, he has eight saves and a victory and has given up two earned runs in 18 innings pitched.

If anything, blame the GM for not getting any real help for the bullpen.

What's worse, the Cubs or Yankees bullpen?

Well Rivera vs. Dempster is no contest. After that, it's a pitiful crap shoot.

Coming into the season, I would have taken the Cubs' set-up corps of Howry, Eyre and Cotts over what the Yankees have setting up Rivera, but those guys have been lousy, too.

Both bullpens suck, so give it to the Yankees based on Rivera's track record.

Don't think so. He has started in the Detroit series.
