    Damn, I'm shocked.

Just knew that the Marlins, all of a sudden realizing they were in the deep end of the pool away from the other children, would mealy-mouth and nickel-and-dime their way out of this.

That wasn't the debate going on here.

And I think a lot of that is Red Sox fans just wanting him gone. I have talked to five Red Sox fans in the last day or so and every single one of them insists that he has to go and the sooner the better.

And when Manny being Manny means beating the living shit out of the Yankees -- as he usually does -- those same idiots will be roaring about how great Manny is.

Bay is an above-average OF. He isn't in Manny's class, but he's also not in Gabe Kapler's class.

Replacing Manny with Bay will lead to a drop-off in production, though probably not as severe as spnited thinks. He doesn't strike out twice as often as he walks (though, to be fair, he did last year). He hits for some power, he can run a bit and he gets on base at a solid clip. If that's a 'bad' outfielder, I'll take 'bad' on my team any day.

Never thought I would agree with the old man, but I have to on this point: the Yankees would rather face the Sawx with Bay in the lineup than Manny. Manny fucks with them mentally.

I won't believe that Manny is being shipped until I see him in a Florida jersey.

    Jason Bay career:

    683 K, 375 BB ... 1.8K/BB

And he is a below average defensive outfielder.

Yahoo headline right now: Jr. League transfer.

That last part is your opinion, and I know quite a few people who have seen him a lot more than you have who disagree with it.

And I don't agree with the Red Sox fans who want Ramirez gone. I'm just suggesting a reason why Angola is hearing so much positive from Boston fans about the possibility of his departure.

    OK.

    Jason Bay's career OPS: .880.

    Your turn.

Friend of mine was saying this morning that the Braves essentially traded Saltalamacchia for Kotchman and that it's almost like the Teixeira to Atl trade last year never happened. It's hard to look back at that trade and say what, if any, positive impact Teixeira had on the Braves.
