    Slappy knows the correct terminolgy one must use when one mentions the Private down the road from Bunny's :D

    I can guarantee Stillwater coach Phil Housley is rooting for Edina...

    Watching the 1A finals and between periods they said that the attendance at last night's 2A semis was 19,559.

    No that's not a typo.

    Holy crap.

    Minnesota HS Hockey Rule No. 1: Never, ever, ever root for Edina. It would be unseemly. I will brook no argument.

    Saw Mayasich play that fabled night at the Yugoslav National Home, upstairs of JC Penney in Ely. Must have 11 at the time. Lots of polkas. Lots of beer. None for me. I've made up for it since.

    Respectfully disagree. The line in Minnesota HS hockey for me personally is Private/Public. I will always root for the Public. Even Edina. I've seen how some Privates go about building their hockey programs and I want the community-based teams to overcome that. The kids that have played together since Squirt, PeeWee and Bantams are the ones I want to see win, not the ones who took the Private route.

    That said, we do have beer in common :D

    Roseau lost the third place game to Benilde, 5-1.

    And we're underway. Edina in white, Hill Murray in black.

    Either way, green is the color of the night.

    Any guesses how far into the broadcast it gets before Nanne shows abject homerism for Edina?
