Don't feel too bad for Moorhead. They owned Roseau for several years this decade, but Roseau's gotten the better of them the last few years. I'm sure they'll be taking turns with the section for the forseeable future.

Instead of creating a new thread I'll just put this here. The Class 2A finals are underway in this year's tourney. Moorhead against Eden Prairie. startribune.com has a webcast and a live blog going on it, apparently.

Moorhead knocked off Edina in the first round. Edina was touted as one of the best teams in state history. And this Moorhead team is one of the worst in the last 12 or 15 years, from what I've heard. Yet they might win a title, something they've never done with their more talented teams.

Breck beat Warroad for the 1A title.

Must have been the sections, because they didn't make state. Eden Prairie's up 2-0 after first period.

I thought Little Falls was the team to beat in 1A - what happened to them?

Looks like Breck killed them in the semis. Eden Prairie wins 2A 3-0 over Moorhead. It's the seventh runnerup finish for the Spuds, with no titles. Ouch. Although this year's team wasn't expected to be there, unlike past teams that had the likes of the Cullen boys and Jason Blake.
