  1. Figures. We Northerners get no respect. Where's Rosie?

Have to admit, I never pull for a Private. Apologies to you know who you are ;)

Dunno where Rosie is, but she'll be back.

  3. I guess I just can't win -- my alma mater is one of those privates. But Marshall didn't make it to the tourney this time, so we won't have to fight. ;) And the only time I ever cheer for Hill-Murray is when it plays Edina or Burnsville, even though my niece goes to school there now. I'm not really an East fan either, but now that I moved away I like to see Duluth teams do well.

Hill is always good at hockey.

Cretin is always good at football.

What the hell is St. Thomas Academy's problem?

They don't have the recruiting budget the other Privates do! :D

    Kidding, Billy :)

They've done OK. Won State in hockey recently and their swimming program is strong.

The Happy Hour Special at Maynard's is 4-1, end of second.

I'm here - late night at work.

Got home in time to see the flurry of goals at the end of the first. If East loses, and it's all Cities teams in the Class AA tourney from here on out, I'm going to be a very, VERY upset hockey fanatic.

Maybe they need to work harder in the rest of the state...

Don't start with me, Slap, or I'll go on a rant about how the state legislature should never have gotten involved in the tourney in the first place and wrecking it!

  11. You tell him! ;D I'm just hoping East can tie it up here. I haven't followed the tourney for years, so I'm not sure what happened or why you're mad at the state legislature. If you don't mind taking the time, how did they wreck it? I'm just curious.

It was their intervention back in the early 90s which resulted in the tourney going from one class to two. It never should have happened.

And I'm not feeling really good about East's chances at this point. :(
