Modern Family (ABC)

Now, there's something I'd tune in for.

 

When the printer cranked up and spit out the photo of the dead grandmother, while the boys were searching for the "ghost" ... that was excellent.

 

Funny, to me, that was the only lame part of the show. Could see it coming from 10 miles away.

The beauty of the show is how they had "the kiss" be in the background, not the foreground.

 

Well, different strokes ... but of course YOU knew it was coming, just as YOU knew that was Phil clanking around in the attic. THEY didn't know it was coming.

Wonderful show, wonderful vibe.

 

Just caught last night's episode ... knocked another one out of the park. Kinda surprised no one bumped this.

Interaction between Claire and Phil was spot on again, and the Haley-Alex dynamic was hilarious (and the last scene with Alex in the dark was heartbreaking).

Oh, and ...

"Slow down, muchacho!"

 

"I was lucky only one turned around"

 

I cracked up when Jay was talking with a couple at the party, and he tells Gloria to come over and talk to his new friends. He asks the lady what her name is and she replies, "Que?"

"Gloria, come over here and talk to Kay." Hahaha.

 

The stuff they do with Marshall and Claire always works. And it's kind of amazing how well the characters work well off each other no matter how they pair them up. But holy crap - the pixelation had me roaring.

 

The phone conversation had me in tears.

"Oh, so you just assume all gay men run off and cry..."

"Yeah, that's exactly what he's doing..."

 

Mitchell?

 

yup. My bad.

 

Interesting. Watching Law & Order on TNT right now and Ty Burrell (Phil) is playing some kind of psycho who kidnapped a 5-year-old 10 years earlier. The kid is now 15 and shot a bunch of folks sniper-style from a rooftop.

The difference between this character and Phil is kind of like the climate differences on Mercury and Pluto.
