That one took to me back -- it's exactly how I felt when my parents took me to college (could they just leave me alone?) and when they left (where are they?).

Just finished "Schooled." That might be my favorite episode the show's done.

That was great. Luke is killer with his zingers. I loved the back-and-forth between Haley and Alex. Are you going goth? Don't you have a fraternity to pass out in?
This show is gold, Jerry, gold.

I've got a funny reaction to the show; looking back on the Schooled episode, the lines are hilarious; but during the show its funny but I thought I had more LOL moments before. Still something I look forward to every week.

Just finished watching the two episodes and then came to this thread. I'd have to agree with you.

I'm really appreciating the character development. Luke was so much just a dimwit in the first couple of seasons. Now he's really developing into a character. As someone mentioned above, his line about dropping a grenade and walking away was fantastic. And some of his quips to Manny are just top notch.

And I've also been seeing some good development in Haley, too. She's not just the boy-crazy airhead, although she can still play that role up, too. But her calling Claire and Phil on their way home, with the final shot showing her wearing the "Haley Dunphy Moving Company" T-shirt was really a precious moment. Got a little dusty in my living room when I saw that. And a comedy that can occasionally bring the dust is pretty impressive.

Oh, and the scene where Phil grabs Haley's roommate's ass was vintage Phil. Followed, of course, by the dumping of the condoms in front of the roommates dad.

Two damn good episodes. They really have done a good job going deeper into the characters and developing hangups for them to exploit.
And how weird was it to do an episode about Gloria's clothes ripping and then it actually happened to Sofia Vergara at the Emmys.

Guessing it might be available for purchase. That was the first thing I thought when they kept going back to it. Hilarious. "Dance til your feet hurt, sing til your lungs hurt, act til you're William Hurt."

I'm surprised she's only 14. I was expecting to find out she was 28.
