  1. No race card. Substitute the name of any nationality.
I love my mother and sister, but they're not nearly this attractive.

  2. Yes, and using a picture from the Nazi occupation of France is the height of civility.

Yes, Lymon is a dick. But what really set it off was this statement:

It was uncalled for and unnecessary. It is also patently untrue. Lymon, in typical jingoistic fashion, jumped all over it in a brash manner causing further problems.

While that statement deserved to be called out for its bravado, Lymon’s inability to keep it civil kept it going.

I was in Nova Scotia a couple of weekends ago and no one yelled at me for being from the Centre of the Universe.

Of course, Flash wasn't back home for the weekend. :)

    Rev,

If we give you the job of spreading democracy throughout the Middle East, will you allow us the spread of You're Welcome at truck stops through the U.S Midwest?

Thank you for your time and consideration.

    YHS, etc

One could never consider me a fan or even remotely entertained by the current Idiot in Chief. I hate the Middle East adventure in suckitude. I also think it has nothing to do with this topic.

We are talking about politeness. You said no US city would rank in the top 10. I saw that Montreal, a city that neither my wife nor I found to be even remotely polite, was ranked number 5. To me, that was a bit off.

Obviously, you are free to disagree, free countries and all. However since this is all qualitative, I’ll go with my own experiences.

Aw JR, I love my COTU brothers and sisters. I mean, it's not like you're from Montreal. Just keep your damn hands off my oil.

Would it be unpatriotic for me to say that I would put Albuquerque in my top 10 before I said Montreal? And Seattle before Vancouver?

    But that's just me.

Not at all, Flash. It is an entirely subjective list based on a lot of personal preferences.

It's also limited by the places we've been. Those who may use Montreal as representative of Canada are missing out on a lot. Those who may use NYC or LA as representative of the U.S. are missing out on a lot.

One of the key differences is that Canada is internationally recognized as a polite, friendly, kind nation ... and one that is capable of poking fun at itself. The States is conversely so, GENERALLY SPEAKING (I yell that to emphasize the point, so some don't miss it but probably will).

Everybody has their good and bad points. We have Montreal. You have the Bush family. Que sera sera.
