Yeah, I love the not to be mentioned gizmo. More people should try to use it.

This thread has become a bunch of bullshit anyway. I can't believe it has all gone to hell over the course of a weekend.

Must be lots of butterflies, pretty colours and shiny things in some worlds.

    My Fellow Canadians,

Sigh. None of you said, "You're welcome."

    Despairingly, etc

    Mr. Friend,
Apologies. It must be the Yankee influence around here.
    However, you are, indeed, welcome.

I was at my niece's wedding on Saturday and there were more polite Presbyterians saying, "Thank You", "You're Welcome", "So nice to see you" and "Can you get me another Canadian, please" than I've seen since Mr. FoF's last book launch. :)

    Canada is remarkably polite nation.

One of these days, this impatient American will move to Canada.

  12. I don't remember an inordinate amount of "your welcomes" in any of my 25-plus visits to Canada over the years. I'd suggest 7-Eleven cashiers are the same all over the world when it comes to that.

But if some of you want to keep on bullshitting yourselves, have at it.
