It's baseball. Anything can happen. Notice last year's top two teams near the bottom, including the defending champs in last.

I bought lottery tickets this morning. You say anything can happen, I say lightning just struck.

Just thought I'd drag this up as we head into the finals. Not sure if I'll be there or not (probably not). Came into the final day of the semis tied at 6-6.

I copied this post because TSP finished the regular season in 9th place and missed the playoffs again. hehe

Seeing no benefit to possibly having them pitch, I benched Papelbon and Okajima heading into the night game and hold a 7-4 edge. Barring a miracle, I will vanquish Baltimore and head to the finals.

    EDIT:

StatTracker shows me that Sterling Silver has opened a 7-4 edge on Chubbs with just one game to play...

Me too, and you win the tiebreaker with ERA I think. Anyone have Stattracker?

    I've got it.

Yellow Ledbetter leads Baltimore GloryHoles, 7-4.

Sterling Silver leads Cubbs 6-4, was 7-4.

I don't think it matters. Zeke posted above about Stattracker showing Sterling in the lead.

Oh well. Can't kick all of your asses every year.

Looks like Zeke and Sterling (no idea what Sterling's SportsJournalists.com handle is) deserve congrats on making the finals.

That would be me. & I'm not counting it until I see it official.

As for Zeke, we (perhaps) meet again. May we see similar results to the points league - when is someone going to drag that thread up

Gawd, I cannot get any traction in that points league.

Second place for months after damn near lapping the field in the first half.

If it's you and I, Guy, it will be an honor.

Ditto, and I hope so. Let's see what happened in the morning.

I think so...you passed me in wins...nice job with the pick-ups of the kids for Detroit and Arizona...that looks like it will be the difference.
