I'll second the support for John Quinn.

 

Quinn is a pro. Any word on whether he WANTS the job?

I see on the Philly Inq Web site that the "sports copy desk" has only four names or so. Could that be right? I know that staff lists on Web sites are usually far from accurate. On the other hand..............

is this the same john quinn who was the sports ed in asbury park?

 

I was wondering that too, Shcokey. Because I have not heard great things about his years at Asbury!

Jenks is as good as they come.
He's worked for ESPN.com in the past so he knows that end of the biz.
APSE won't be the same without him.
I know with what he's been through in Philly, he's owed some stress-free time.

 

I just hope they take care of Sheridan. Good guy, good columnist, takes the time to answer all those Q&A questions. A million times better than SAS.

By the way, any confirmation that Jenks is actually leaving?

 

I am confirming that I am leaving and will be starting at MLB.com on Nov. 7.
