Just read that Get Up had 246,000 viewers in the first week. Wait. My little rinky-dink morning show has 61,000 viewers.

Those three make a combined $12 million.

    NOW I think they're overpaid. :)

There's probably 200,000 that just turn on ESPN automatically in the morning as background noise, no matter what the programming is.

I absolutely did this for like, five years after college. You know you have a problem when you realize you've seen the same Sportscenter three times.

Ditto. Yet that was perfectly OK too. Would a rerun of Van Pelt from the night before beat Get Up?

I play a stupid little app trivia game called HQ trivia, and the noon pacific game gets 900,000 every day (granted, some of that may be world wide)

I am always fascinated by the low numbers of these cable shows.

Isn't the Sage Steele Sportscenter on ESPN2 at the same time? That has to cannibalize some of their audience.

I used to just let SportsCenter repeat while I was alone in the office at a previous job. It was my morning accompaniment on the elliptical for a while, but I realized I got bored too quickly and quit my workout -- so I'm trying to come up with other TV options.

I haven't watched SC on purpose in many, many years. I'll see the start after a game, otherwise ... I have no need for it.

I'll put up with Get Up over Neil Everett who I always liked before he became a caricature of something.

It's like every single fucking line has to be the greatest fucking thing spoken in a highlight package.

Rinse and Repeat. Rinse and Repeat. Rinse and Repeat. Neil's been dragging Stan Verrett down too.

I had a book for late February. Don't remember if the Olympics had concluded or not, but the ONLY program I watched on NBC the entire week was a Sunday matinee NHL game between Pittsburgh and St. Louis.

I was up super early, west coast time. Coffee is made, and I have 20 minutes at 4:00 am pacific to watch sports. I know it was a busy night last night.
Am I going to watch Sportscenter, MLB Quick Pitch, or Get Up?

I have nothing against Greenie, Beadle or Rose, but what could they possibly offer against NBA, MLB and NHL highlights?

Not sure I am finding a path to their success.

BTW, commercials for their show play multiple times on The Ocho (where Sportscenter was playing)
