I think it was one of the first I did, which really got me going. It was Game 1 of the 1979 World Series, a broadcast from KGO in San Francisco. It was split onto two VHS tapes and it was such a thrill (for me) to see the commercials and whatnot. Like I could be transported back to then for four hours and listen to Keith Jackson and Howard Cosell do baseball, with all the disco effects of that ABC broadcast.

This was in the pre-YouTube days, of course, but now someone uploaded that game, which you can see here:

This link has all of the games I’ve received. I still need to add more but this is 20 years’ worth of trading. I’m pretty happy with it.

I greatly enjoyed Cosell's afternoon radio spot, Speaking of Everything.

Oops. This show was mid-1970s, not 1960s. Ran 1974-78.

A friend from Green Bay was at the Ice Bowl. His stories about that game and running into Marie Lombardi at the market should be a documentary.

Those 1979 Pirates are right in my wheelhouse. In fact there were a lot of crazy stats all through that '79 season.

    Thank you, no.

I vowed at that time to do all I could to NEVER AGAIN see Omar Moreno's wife blowing a whistle in the stands.

Katie Nolan is now part of NBC's Winter Olympics coverage - She's on with Rebecca Lowe right now, who complimented her on the impression she had on in the past.

Not a cut. His contract was up and he decided to go elsewhere. They would have had him back. Maybe he didn’t like the offer.
