Serious question: Would you be all right with Giuliani as President? I assumed all right-wing nuts would be opposed to him because he doesn't hate gay people and isn't pro-life.

Or is it the lesser of two evils?

I think of what NYC was before Guiliani and when he left office, I have no problem seeing him as a good president.

His take on same-sex marriage is clarified as "civil union" and not "marriage." He was very clear on that on Hannity and Colmes.

He was briefly the favorite coming out of New Hampshire.

    That ended in Iowa.

Insurmountable? I never heard that, or anything close.

But feel free to edit history however you'd like.

And people laugh about the "vast right wing conspiracy." Hillary's unfavorable rating (the 'floor' of it) is set in stone from stuff like this.

Wow, I forgot about that trade.

Fred Manrique wore cool glasses. I remember that.

Hillary has (I think) at least a 40% unfavorable rating whenever people are polled about her. This is the main reason why it will be tough for her to get elected as the president. All the right has to do is convince a small number of additional people not to like/trust her.

From lists like the one on the first post of this thread, many are convinced of her 'guilt' on all sorts of things, or at minimum of her 'bitchiness' and unfitness to lead the country.

This is the second excellent turn-of-phrase I've come across on SJ today. Cran, I definitely think that's a keeper. :)

The list on the first page is throughly debunked.

And the man currently occupying the Oval Office inspired much higher negatives from the opposition in 2004 than HRC could ever dream of doing.

But aren't there some people who will vote for her BECAUSE she's a woman? I know women hate to hear that because it's condescending, but if 0.1% of women that didn't vote before, come out to vote, that's pretty significant. The same with Obama, some will come out to vote against him because he's black, some will make sure to vote FOR him because he's black. I would think it would average out.

Also, Hillary has enough time to convince a small number of people to like her, or at least not find her so objectionable that there's a large anti-Hillary turnout. So, I'm not convinced that she's unelectable.

That said, I'm not a fan of hers and I hope like hell that Gore runs.

I agree. But there are still a lot of people who believe that crap. Trust me, I'm no right winger, I'm just saying that so much crap has been thrown against the wall, a good amount - although false - has stuck, unfortunately.
