    Not as bad as Prothro.

I've seen versions of the Prothro leg break about once every five years.

No one has ever seen the entire leg do what it does in that video.

I have a feeling you haven't watched the linked video.

    It's OK. I probably wouldn't either.

How can anyone turn this into a "toy" is beyond me.

My most enduring memory of the McCaffrey injury was that it occurred, as you said, on MNF. What you might not remember was that it happened on September 10, 2001. I remember missing that game and hearing about the injury and how gross it was. I was so determined to catch Sportscenter the next morning to see the injury...for some reason, they were covering some other news that day.

For me, it's McCallum then Malarchuk.

Prothro's was bad, but for sheer "OWWW" factor, I'd go with the writer from the 1981 All-Star Game in Cleveland, sitting in the auxilary press area behind home plate. He was chatting with the writer to his right; just as Gorman Thomas fouled off a pitch, the writer turned to look.

    Ball, nose. Nose, ball.
    Blood, shirt. Shirt, blood.

Yes. I've watched it. I am not a liar.
