Most overrated actor ever

Agree on DiCaprio and Cruise being on the short list.

Michael Douglas may be the same guy in every film, but it works.

I liked most of those movies from Fatal Attraction through The Game.

 

Yeah, I have "The Game" on DVD, and liked when he was Gordon Gecko. But other than that, yeah, he's just the same. Now, you could say the same thing with a lot of Al Pacino's movies, but I'll use your line Daddy, "it works" for me.

Funny, his Oscar-winning role has stigmatized him negatively.

 

Not anywhere near my fav movie of his.

"Heat" is at the top. The shootout scene remains one of my favs of all time.

When he gets a serious role, Sandler's not bad. You mentioned "Spanglish." Perhaps a better example would be the wildly underrated "Punch Drunk Love."

 

Matthew McConaughey. At least Keanu Reaves has had a few hits. McConaughey's an average actor at best, most of his movies tank, and he still gets leading man roles. Inexplicable.

 

I like McConaughey just for his role as Wooderson in "Dazed and Confused"...he'll always get a pass from me because of that one....

 

Yeah, a lot of people feel that way. But the 12 or 13 years since then make me believe that performance was just a fluke.

 

Paging Ben Affleck .... Ben Affleck, please.

 

Um, Ben Affleck sucked, still sucks and always will suck. There's nothing overrated at all. He's awful.
