We'll just agree to disagree on that one. ;)

Jeter has had an excellent first half this year.

And he's the most overrated player in the game.

20 pages and Bill Mazeroski is still on the board?

That's because only sean94 rates him highly in the first place.

Almost forgot this from page 9.

Stupid designers, never bothering to edit properly.  ;)

That was intentional, BTW. An attempt at humor that apparently failed.

Baseball Tonight and the Fox crew have gone the distance and beyond in elevating Jeter to untouchable status.

By the way, hondo, Trent Dilfer has "a ring."

Um, no. Numerous Gold Gloves. Was second all-time for HRs at his position. Won at least one HR title. Was an MVP.

There are some minuses. No rings. Retired mid-season in 1994 and came back a year and a half later.

Again, the definition of "overrated" seems to be lacking here. He's in the Hall of Fame, but he didn't make it on the first ballot. Do you think he should have had to wait until the 4th or 5th ballot?

It doesn't seem to be suicidal.

So you're making a case for a guy who hit .256 and collected about 2,000 career hits over a guy who had twice as many hits and played in six World Series, winning three?
    Give it a rest, Gold.
Getting hits is one of the key elements of the game.
One of the most overrated aspects of the game is whether those hits go for 2, 3 or 4 bases.

PLease, don't show yourself to be so ignorant, Dixie.
    Look up Maz' defensive numbers.
Then you can come back and apologize.
