Iraan, Winters (the school nickname, the Blizzards, cracks me up), Lawn, Miles, Post, Veribest.

I'm pretty sure all are towns of less than 1,000 people and are basically located in the middle of the pasture somewhere. Some are close to cities of some size for the region, but others are were where someone's horse dropped dead from heat exhaustion, probably.

Monahans and Sweetwater are fairly sizable towns for the area, actually. And if you hit Sweetwater at the right time of year, you can watch grown idiots try and manhandle rattlesnakes.

No offense intended, but for me, anything west of Ranger Hill might as well be the back side of the moon.

Had to look that one up, but it reminded me that Thurber is pretty much isolated. I ate at the Old Mill restaurant there once. Pretty good food.

Miami, Okla., that is. At least I had sex when I was there.

Rapid City? That's where Mt. Rushmore is. I wouldn't call it all that remote.

Rock Springs, Wyo. Laramie, Wyo. If you like rocks and tumbleweeds, they're heaven.

I have a good friend from Yellville, Ark. Actually, at one time, the friend was a member of this board.
