My Dog Skip is up there, so whoever said that ... wow.

I wanted to actually find the guy who hit that dog with the shovel and pummel the shit out of him.

I DO remember it. Boy, do I ever. Called up my then-girlfriend, now-wife in tears. I mean, I was haunted by that scene for days.

Let me add my voice to the Field of Dreams "Wanna have a catch" chorus. That scene gets me every time. So does the old movie "Something for Joey" about John Cappeletti and his younger, leukemia-stricken brother Joey.

  3. There are some scenes in The Misfits that do it for me, but I don't know if it's the material, or the fact that I know that almost everyone in that movie will be dead within about six months of the wrap.

  4. The end of "The Sandlot" when Benny 'The Jet' Rodriguez steals home -- but I think that might also because the Dodgers beat my Giants.

Another TV one -- "Scrubs," especially when J.D. has his moral story at the end.

  5. Easily ... The Green Mile. Last execution scene with "John Coffey." I was sobbing almost uncontrollably in the theater. I still cry every time I watch that.

You better stay away from "The Year of the Dog'' then, with Molly Shannon.

Maude dying at the end of Harold and Maude

    TV division:
"Henry Blake's plane was shot down over the Sea of Japan. It spun in...There were no survivors."

Has anyone mentioned "Ladder 49"? Saw that a week after "The Notebook". I told my wife that next time we were going to get something not so fucking depressing.

"United 93" brought out some tears from me for obvious reasons.

My wife still cries watching "Titanic". the first time I saw it, I was getting pissed at Rose when she was saying bye to Jack.

"MOVE YOUR FUCKING ASS, BITCH, OR YOU YOU'LL DIE TOO!"

And I'm not really sure why, but Kevin Costner's final speech in "JFK" brings a sniffle still. I read that Costner really got emotional himself, and whenever his voice cracks during that final speech, it's not acting.

The scene when Henry is in the copter leaving is when I turn it to another channel. The way Radar walked in and announced it is too much to handle, 'cause it was so heart-wrenching. I can't handle the ending of that episode.

The final execution in the Green Mile.
    Gump at the grave.
The seen in Titanic with the mother telling the story to her little children to put them to bed as the water starts coming in the room.

I'm sure I'll think of more later.
