When Henry, about to get into his chopper, stops and goes back to Radar, tears streaming down his face... that kills me.

I've heard that no one knew the script till the final takes (someone actually screwed up the 1st take of the whole cast being surprised by Radar's announcement)... so that makes that scene on the helipad even more poignant to me. It's like Radar knew.... I mean, really.

One late addition...Finding Nemo. One of the few good animated daddy-son movies, and I'm such a daddy-son kind of guy. Every time Nemo yells "Daddddyyyyyy!" it gets me. And when Marlin holds Nemo's egg in his fins at the beginning, I tear up. Every single time.

Shirley McLaine: "Did you hear what I said? I said I love you."
Nicholson: "I was just inches from a clean getaway."

The first time I saw that movie was on DVD with my daughter, my wife and my mother, but I left the room for a few minutes and missed the opening sequence. I can't even tell you how many times I've seen it since because my daughter wanted to watch it over and over again (she was two the first time she saw it and mostly just interested in all the colorful fish). I still remember the impact of seeing that first scene later. Can't say I teared up, but I love the scene and the father-son relationship in the movie.

Father-son movies always do it to me. Heck, even Daddy Day Care makes me smile in a heartfelt sort of way...especially since Eddie Murphy calls the kid Little Man (the best name in the world, in my opinion).

When Rifleman fumbles on his own goal line against Walnut Heights in 'All The Right Moves.'

AlleyAllen, there with you. Saw Nemo in theaters with my son, now 4, when he was just a few months old. Six or seven years ago, wouldn't have affected me nearly the same way ...

I've missed about the last six pages, but I was driving around thinking about this this morning and it occurred to me that I forgot We Are Marshall. Whole stinking movie. About the time you catch your breath from sobbing from one scene, something else hits you. My wife wants to see it again. No way I'm watching it again.
