    I fell asleep during it.

And, dude, I didn't think Private Parts was an intelligent comedy. To me, it felt like a clip show of Stern's "greatest hits." I liked the movie, but I'm glad I never paid for it. It was just a self-glorifying movie of Howard Stern, one of the neediest, rudest and arrogant people in the entertainment industry.

It was definately a masterbation piece to the greatness of Stern, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I think it's half because I like Stern, but half because I love the extents to which he would go to get his audience. I mean, it felt real as I watched it and it was pretty cool to watch him devolve from someone being so uptight and rigid to someone who basically said "Oh yeah world? Don't like it? Kiss my ass."

This has nothing to do with anything, but how difficult is it to spell masturbate? I see it misspelled everywhere. It's like the people who probably do it the most are least likely to be able to spell it.

I can't spell that word for the life of me. Never have been able to. I tried spell checking it, but it didn't catch it. :(

SportsJournalists.com's sign of the apocalypse: schiezainc actually going through the process of - and failing to complete the process correctly - spell-checking "masturbation."

side note ... rented 88 minutes. don't know why. better than anything I saw in 'new releases,' I guess ... other option my wife threw out was my mom's new boyfriend. might have been the better call. ugh.

though anyone see mr. x-files in the secret? worth getting?

jps, I saw the X-Files. It's OK. I think the subliminal message of draconian medicine compared with futuristic medicine practices is interesting. Duchovny has funny moments. Anderson mailed this one in. It's about 2 stars out of 5.

I'm halfway through Midnight Cowboy. What a trippy little flick. Hoffman as Ratso is strange and funny. Looks like he has 3 1/2 spintered logs up his ass as he walks. The psychadelic scenes are interesting, too. It's impossible to look at Voight's face now and not see Angelina. She's definitely got his face.

My ex-girlfriend, while a senior in high school, was trying to be cute in one of those online surveys. The question was "Say something to the person who sent this to you," and she wrote, to me, "I think about you when I masterbate."

A part of me died that day, and not just because I knew she didn't "masterbate" anyway, but because the future English major couldn't even spell the word.

xan ... thanks on that. though was more wondering about 'the secret.' just hadn't had my cup of coffee yet after another short night and figured if folks were struggling to spell masturbate, I'd certainly fail trying to type 'duchovny.'

hmmm, not sure about "the secret." is there supposed to be one?

speaking of duchovny, can't wait for Californication. I think it's the best role he has played. He is so damn good.

Just watched Evan Almighty. It wasn't nearly as bad as the marketing/reviews made it out to be. I'd say it was a solid B- type of film. Don't know if I'd watch it again, but wasn't terrible.

Bullshit, because you didn't spell definitely right either.

It's like you're the embodiment of the lowest common denominator.
