    What about the twinkie?

(seriously though, was that the first time you've ever seen it?)

I really liked it; except for the ironic twist at it took.

I went to see it with my gf of two years at the time, two days later she broke up with me for some other dude. I shit you not.

I thought it was a funny movie though.

    I loved Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

Brand was gold in that one. Segal cracked me up and there were some excellent spots by Rudd, Hill, Hader, etc.

  4. I'm kind of excited about The Changeling with Angelina Jolie... Directed by Clint and based on a true story from the late 1920s early 1930s.

Looks pretty interesting. Though I doubt it has a happy ending.

The movie looks interesting. But every time I hear that title, I immediately think it's some z-grade sci-fi/horror movie.

oh, no. just hadn't seen it in years. walked into the video store last time and the theme song was playing, and then the next day some radio station had a deal where they were showing it on the big screen so was advertising it ... just got in my head. I wasn't afraid of no ghosts. so had to get it when we went in. debating on getting gbII next trip. nowhere near the same, but still good. (and hear murray says he's open to doing a third ... not sure how I feel about that.)

"yes, your honor, it's true. this man has no dick."

must have missed it? is it just a remake of the same title? it's an oct. 31 classic.

  8. You mean the 1980 film with George C. Scott? No. This is a totally different film. Not a horror movie.

Just watched "You Don't Mess With The Zohan". Fucking sweet movie.

Maybe it was the lowered expectations I had or the fact that I loved the Zohan character, but this movie hit the funny bone for me.

As a comedy, I'd give it an B+. As a movie as a whole, probably a C+. The random tangents it went on were ridiculous, but damn if I didn't enjoy it as a whole. I'd recommend it.

Saw "Rachel Getting Married" today. Intense, great film with some amazing acting. Demme absolutely nailed it, with great subtlety.

Appaloosa - a little shaky, but turns out quite nicely at the end. Renee Zellweger's face almost single-handedly killed this. Simply horrifying.

I had DVR'd Eastern Promises a week ago and finally watched it last night.

Not as good, IMO, as A History of Violence, but good performances all around. I guess I could watch Viggo in just about anything, but I didn't really need to see Viggo's junk. Hell of a fight scene in the bathhouse, though.
