I have it downloaded. I have not watched it yet. I've heard it's one of the best movies of the year.

I watched The Incredible Hulk a few nights ago, and thought it was OK, but the last 2-3 minutes geeked me up hard for another movie down the road.

Recently watched Get Smart on DVD. Solid flick. Too bad the marketing was absolute crap.

I really liked that one too... Not as good as Dark Knight, but still really solid.

You mean the Hulk or the ending?

I liked the Hulk, but I have yet to see The Dark Night. I am just painfully behind.

I tell you what, and this might sound stupid. but in certain movies (sports, super hero) I will be doing standing fist pumps in the middle of the room when scenes or moments get me excited enough.

Iron Man had me fist pumping a few times (payback time in the Middle east for example and of course the last thing Downey says) but the only fist pump I did for The Hulk was in the last three minutes.

I have patiently waited for The Dark Knight to hit DVD/Blu-Ray. I'm going to purchase it next week while it's on sale. I have a feeling I'll be glad I waited.

  7. I'll come out and admit I saw Twilight recently. Fiancee is a big fan -- read all the books in a matter of weeks.

It was decent. By no means great.

I feel completely in the dark about movies that should be up for Best Picture. Any help?

I can say this, I wouldn't be surprised at all if Heath Ledger earns a nod and wins for The Joker from The Dark Knight, from all the great things I've heard. Of course he should've won for Brokeback Mountain before his untimely death.

That being said and switching subjects.

I had a wonderful time tonight discussing horror movies with a mother of a 14-year old who is now into Japanese horror flicks. She was searching for The Omen. All we had was the remake. I refused to let her buy it. I told her that if her daughter is a fan of horror films then she needs to watch the original first (we didn'thave it). This mother I was talking to has also heard of Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things and her face lit up when I mentioned it. Great stuff.

She also was a fan of Dr. Paul Bearer (Tampa area horror movie guy). It brought back memories. Good stuff.

Just watched I Am Legend again, holds up very well on a second viewing.

Dude was a fucking legend man. WTOG-44 in Tampa carried his program and I was always watching. Particularly enjoyed when he showed THEY (I think that was the title of the giant ants movie). Danny DeVitos' character in Jack The Bear reminds me a lot of Dr. Paul Bearer.

I liked this flick. The only problem is that I thought all of the Bob Marley stuff was kind of forced. Most powerful scene in the movie was when he realized the dog was afflicted and had to kill him. That sucked. :(
