Concept was incredible, as was makeup.

However, Vinny Chase was just a pretty face to me.

As much range as an unplugged oven.

Button had a very Forrest Gump-y feel to me.

 

Pitt will be playing Billy Beane in Moneyball, apparently.

 

Simon, have you seen Pitt in Snatch?

 

I've heard decent things about it.

Kalifornia and True Romance are the only pics I have thought he was excellent in.

 

Watch it.

It is a very slick, very witty movie.

Dozens of movies have tried to copy it. That should tell you how good it is.

 

Snatch is great.

The 2:35 mark begins one of my favorite scenes of duality, ever. The merging of music and slo-mo and cinematography ... goddamn, it's luscious.

As an aside, in the Pitt article in GQ this month, he talks about how scared shitless he was for weeks leading up to the start of shooting because he couldn't nail an appropriate brogue for the piker. Finally, the night before he calls Ritchie and asks if he can play the piker by making him almost impossible to understand. Ritchie said OK, and that's why Pitt speaks the way he does in the movie.

Good movie.
After I watching it I was very warm to other Brit flicks, like Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.

 

Thank God for subtitles.

 

Fantastic soundtrack as well.

Brick Top is one of my favorite characters ever.

 

You guys are my new friends. Loved that film, as I have said on probably 6 other threads.

 

Simply spectacular. Can't say enough good things about it.
