Didn't they do that already and call it "Speed 2"?

That is awesome. Only thing better is if your professors had said they were expecting papers from some of you...(throwaway Sutherland quote that always makes me laugh).

This may be one of my favorite all time posts in sj history. Maybe along with when albert77 mentioned seeing the Who live with Keith Moon.

Places and times I would have liked to have been there.

Yep. He used to teach a high school class on the history of film, so I saw a lot of cool stuff growing up that I otherwise would have been pretty oblivious to. He figured I'd like Freaks. He was right.

When I was a little bit older he had a co-worker who did restaurant and movie reviews on the side, and if he didn't care about a film he'd give my dad the pass to the screening. We saw everything from "Cannonball Run" to Werner Herzog's "Nosferatu" at the Los Angeles screening for critics. Pretty cool.

I'm jealous. When I was in my 20s, I watched Saving Private Ryan, Groundhog Day and Braveheart. A lot. Great films.

Only one of those I've seen is Groundhog Day.
