    Boom is Chris' idiot brother.

Chris, whose leaders have been discredited, shows up to throw a smokescreen around Moyers' documentary. Yes, Donahue, who was given about 3 minutes in the program was, in our resident Bush apologist's mind, a center piece for the show. Moron.

Chris is morally and intellectually bankrupt. He's a fraud with no ideas and since his heroes have been discredited, I'm amazed that he still shows up here to post crap.

He'd have made a good brownshirt: clinging to propaganda and thuggery to defend the bullies in power.

Memo to Chris: stick to your silly Red Sox blogging.

I wasn't planning on posting again on this thread, but I finally finished watching the Moyers program, and I have a few things to add.

First of all, I have to say the only part I object to re: Donahue is the second (58 second) segment. The first segment with him is fine. So all this quibbling has been over 58 seconds of a 90-minute program. Thus, the folks here who agreed with the theme of the program (as I do) would have been better off not even mentioning Donahue as an example of all that was right with the Moyers report.

That said, Moyers did do something that I consider extremely unprofessional during that 58 seconds, which I couldn't have known from just reading the transcript. As he mentioned that "internal memo" reported by the blogger and picked up by the press, on the screen you see the NYT story by Bill Carter on Donahue's firing at the link below...

    http://select.nytimes.com/search/restricted/article?res=FA0A17FB3C580C758EDDAB0894DB404482

For those who can log in and read this article, there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about a report, study or memo of any kind in this story, internal or otherwise. Tsk, tsk, tsk, Mr. Moyers. You should have just scrapped that second segment about Donahue.

  6. Or, conversely, not used the NYT, but the Washington Post, which did mention it. Or credit the blogger and get some sort of comment from Sorenson.
    Nice catch, Jack.

It is starting to look more and more that Bill Moyers has morphed into Michael Moore.

  9. You, on the other hand, look pretty much like the same dunce you've always been.
One thing to remember about the cheerleaders for this war -- namely, that they're stuck over this Moyers thing. One, they don't like Moyers, but, then again, the reporting that he criticizes so effectively in this show helped give them the war they so desperately wanted in 2003 and that they so desperately decline to talk about now. Rock, meet hard place.

Chris hasn't been around lately because he's been celebrating "Mission Accomplished Day"

I hear it's a new national holiday in Fredoville.

  11. Hmmm...

So first JR thinks its clever to compare me to a "hillbilly" and now a "brownshirt" Nazi.

I'm guessing that not many here will be willing to admit that that sort of humor is amusing. (But of course since JR is a liberal there is no way that he could be an ignorant bigot.)

JR - you keep thinking that the Conservatives have been "discredited" and maybe later you can explain why both Canada and the US have "conservative" governments.

I also have to note his inference that since I somehow disagree with him and Wile E Coyote - that I should be silenced. Can anyone else say "crushing of dissent"?

  12. Misquoting the words of others - never too late to show that the leopard can't change his bias (or his ways of trying to enforce his bias without resorting to actual facts).
