    It does.

That's why Germany's mortality rate is so much lower than ours. That people are out of patience with the restrictions doesn't mean the restrictions aren't effective.

You'll be able to walk in and order, but can't eat inside because tighter restrictions go into place starting tomorrow at one of the locations.

They are building the drive-thrus here to accommodate 25-plus vehicles.

We've had one open about a mile from my house for about a year now - Still haven't been. Partially because of Covid, partially because the line is never shorter than running outside of their lot.

Frankly, I’d like to see water cannons used on US anti-maskers.

Are you being facetious with "simple"?

    Yes.

    And no.

Of course it's hugely complex. And expensive.

But we need to find a way to keep people whole and keep people home. Whether we're talking about laborers or landlords, we need everyone to hunker down for a month or two without worrying about starving to death or being evicted.

Making people choose between earning a living and knocking down the virus is at least part of what got us here.

A government run by functioning adults could have and should have tried this in April. It was science's job to deal with the virus and government's job to protect the economy. A plan such as this could have done both.

Which is why sooooo many other governments have done it!
