The primary focus for study on the vaccines was to prove that it prevented severe illness. That doesn't mean that it definitely does not reduce transmission. It almost certainly does, they just haven't quantified how much in the same way they have illness.

We’ve come this fucking far. Don’t let a few cunts fuck it up because they don’t want someone else on the mound when the games over.

Shit like “dr” posts is dangerous as fuck because it will hurt people. It casts doubt upon something because they want their kid to play a few volleyball games over spring break.

I just want to drink a beer at a Star Wars movie again, and not be afraid my lungs will turn to papier-mache.

Not when parents are irresponsibly sending kids who might have the virus to school because they "don't want to deal with them anymore."

That means other kids in the classroom can be infected. And teachers. And school administration.

    Try again.

If you actively have it? I dunno. In theory, if you get it right as you're infected but before symptoms, it might help you fight it off because your immune system should react more strongly and quickly. But nobody's tested that.

People who had previous covid infections and had detectable antibodies still had an increased immune response from the vaccine in the trials, so they're encouraging people to get vaccinated even if they've already had it.

It is interesting to me that at Sports Journalists.com, many posters reject “good news” regarding COVID 19. It is as if they do not want it to end.

Thank you for being a true voice of optimism, my friend.

I was skeptical, as well, friend. But today I took it upon myself to read the entire NEJM piece. It states: “The study was not designed to assess the efficacy of a single-dose regimen.”

Perhaps @doctorquant read the entire study.

    He is crazy smart.

    You cannot argue with this!
