“The Florida Department of Health on Thursday announced the COVID-19 variant that originated in the United Kingdom has been found in Martin County.
“The man who has the strain is in his 20s and has no history of traveling, according to the state.”

That means there’s at least one case and probably a lot more than that in the Stuart-Port Saint Lucie-West Palm Beach area.

Like they said COVID wasn't here until February... this variant has probably been moving around the country for at least a couple weeks.

If Jarey Boy ever writes a book -- and my bet is someday he will, just about the time the divorce from the Pretty Princess goes through -- he'll absolutely incinerate Fatfuck.

Although my guess is that Jarey will make some feeble attempts to make himself look like a little bit less than a totally powerless pathetic spineless cuck and claim some of the ideas as his own.

Of course many of the real fascist genocidal brainstorms come from Miller and Bannon.

In a perfect world, this person would be tried for crimes against humanity for intentionally working to harm the potential health and survival of humans.

In the real world, it's probably 500 counts of unlawful destruction of property and grand theft among other related charges, which will be enough to put that person behind bars for several years and a fine his grandchildren will be paying off.

Back in September (could have been October. Don't remember, not wholly relevant) I got summoned for jury duty. Opted for the postponement because it was going to seriously interfere with staring at a screen with student names all day. I moved it to next week a) because I would still be on vacation and b) thought I'd have a chance to be excused. After I sent it in, realized I should have done it for the week of New Years as the week after they would likely want to get rolling again. Kicked myself until...

... thanks to my county's stay-at-home order, all jury duty is excused. So I got my "thanks for your service" notice and am excused from further obligations for a year. Love it when a potentially disastrous decision actually works out.

It's shocking how frustrating it is to find a convenient testing site around here. Although my definition of "convenient" is pretty stringent.

I'm leaning toward just considering myself a presumptive positive and counting off 2 weeks from first symptom.

One of the reasons this vaccination is going so poorly is Trumpists' decision to turn it over to The States.
The worship of States' Rights means handing over life-and-death decisions to idiots in many cases.
This is especially a problem when many of the sacrosanct States don't really want to make this situation better because they fear Biden will get credit.

Does that mean the other 10 folk are quarantining with you for two weeks?
