I've mostly alternated between watching television, which means one news thing or another on the Corona Virus, and binge-watching stuff on Netflix. The latter should be an escape, except I've been watching Designated Survivor. Of course, right there in the second episode of the second season, they deal with the spread of a new strain of the flu and no American has any immunity to it. Sadly, reality didn't follow art on this one. In the show, they managed to contain it due to swift government action. o_O

On the plus side, I have to say thank you for the likes and responses to my negative test result today. One of them was even from somebody I've been having a bit of an unpleasant argument with on another thread. I really appreciate each and every one and hope everybody here is staying safe and healthy.

Watch this. Six minutes, and I learned a helluva lot. Primarily that we're doing it allllllll wrong. We could learn from the Chinese, but we aren't. Re home quarantine: In China 75-80% of their positive tests came in family clusters. Quarantine with other people results in other people being infected. So what do you do instead? Hint - nothing *we* can do, it takes leadership willing to listen and learn.

No. Just a socialist-realist. I want to help the people over capitalists but am not stupid enough to think it would work here. But I can still tell casinos who are "suffering" to fuck off.

I kept seeing all these alerts when I looked at the site. Being me, my first thought was that I pissed some people off. :)

I agree. They just can't punt all that revenue. The Indy 500 will likely be in the same boat, rescheduling to a strange weekend and drawing half the crowd -- but at least making some money in a series that absolutely can't lose its biggest event.
