So, Hermantown, which was a heavy favorite to win the Minnesota state boys hockey Class A tournament, is now fielding 10 skaters and a goalie, most of them JVs, in the state quarterfinals because of "a close contact that took place during the March 23 semifinal boys hockey game," which I am reading to believe means one of their opponents tested positive. They played a team from the Iron Range, part of which has become a COVID hotspot this month.

Oddly enough, their best player wasn't quarantined, because he was injured for the section tournament after he got cheap-shotted in the regular season finale. Hermantown, which has reached the title game nine times in the last 11 years (but is 2-7 in those games), might have enough talent and depth to make a game of it if it weren't for the fact that they drew the rare unseeded A team that has a University of Minnesota commit on it.

That said, I'd be shocked if there weren't some lawyers involved in the next few hours. The quarterfinal game is tomorrow night. And if not lawyers, I hope they send some cops to the next game between those two because I'm guessing it'll get violent, probably moreso in the stands than on the ice.

Their medical device subsidiary is in Cincinnati. Like I said, we make medical devices, so we poach their execs a lot.

Early on, I was hoping Lilly’s vaccine worked out. Given they bankroll the state of Indiana, I was hoping we’d get an influx early.

I had all three available. People out here in the sticks aren’t getting it.

We’re fucked as a country. I’m just worried about family now. My elderly parents are fully vaccinated and my wife and I will be.

My religious nut sister and her family won’t get it. Nothing I can do about it. I haven’t heard much from her since the election anyways.

It’s look out for your own and shut the door behind you time now.

Just got shot number one. The whole process took about two hours at an absolutely massive drive-thru site, but it was a remarkably efficient and well-run process.

My second dose is scheduled for 12:27 AM in three weeks. Suspect I will be taking the following day at least half-off.

Making zero attempt to show a better example – refusing to wear masks because he's worried it shows weakness, implying that bleach would work, pushing hydroxychloroquine, squelching as many of Dr. Fauci's efforts as humanly possible, allowing Dr. Birx to go along and her not telling us what we need to go as opposed to what the administration wanted as a narrative – was an unforgivable mistake.

The administration was more concerned about showing power and winning re-election than doing what was best for the people as a whole. Any attempt to explain it otherwise won't fly.

Obviously it varies by individual, but for me, I was OK the day of my second Pfizer shot ... just a slightly sore arm.

When I came to work the next day, I got the chills, had no appetite and felt under the weather. Had to ride the Tylenol train to get through my shift. Was fine the next day.

    A. I don't think Florida ever navigated COVID "successfully."

    B. I am waiting for the calls for DeSantis to resign over this, like we did with Cuomo pre-harassment accusations. I'm guessing we won't get them.
