Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis bans coronavirus "vaccine passports" in the state

 

He can't do this any more than he could ban "no shoes, no shirt no service." First business that takes him to court wins in a walkover.

 

What about the blessed Free Market? You know, the most important thing that gives us Freedumb?

 

I'd love to see the airlines require this. That would send a lot of people to the vax clinics. And since airline travel is interstate commerce, regulated by the Feds, DeSantis could go fuck himself. Which he should do anyways.

 

What happens when Disney says go screw? Because they carry a lot of political weight down there.

 

Good point. And they have to don't they? Until there is widespread vaccinations of children, unvaccinated people are an inherent risk to an entire classification that are not eligible for the vaccines.

 

They haven't been particularly cautious about re-opening. I doubt they'll object to DeathSantis. But thankfully I don't live there.

Fuck a bunch of "vaccine passports". Passports have required numerous vaccinations forever. Kids have to have a current vaccination record to go to school or they get sent home.

Frankly, if I were to take my vaccinated self to a movie theater anytime soon and they didn't ask for proof of vaccination I'd walk right back out.

 

So you may remember that I said when the two weeks after my second vaccination shot had passed I might find a place to have a beverage and watch the ball game. Today was that day. Due to the vicissitudes of life I wasn't able to get out until dinnertime. BUT, the TV at the restaurant was showing a replay of the Sox game. As it was cocktail time, I had a martini (Beefeater, olive) instead of a beer. I did have a beer with my subsequent prime rib, however. So I believe THIS COUNTS!
