Mandatory vaccinations and if you object you lose your right to vote. Make it simple, make it draconian. And if the Supreme Court rules no, make it clear they lose their right to hold office.

Every sane American wishes it were that simple.
This is a Trumpist country, and it will be one for a generation or more thanks to Fox News and SCOTUS and all the JV judiciaries that the fucking clown was able to populate.

There's a part of me that wishes the SEC states and others like them would simply secede.
They have been traitors since 1861. Take your fucking grievances and your stupidity and your opposition to life-saving science and create your own miserable country. Just give the sane and smart people a chance to get out first.

There were 25 cases in my town this week, and half were vaccinated people.

It may well be headed in that direction, and this time I hope it's peaceful. Last time would've been so if not for that meddling asshole Lincoln.

Once the Red States realize they won't keep getting Federal funds, they'll end any secession talk. Texas can't afford to tote the note for Mississippi and Arkansas and the other states that get more Federal money than taxes paid into the kitty.

Theoretically, the states with the greatest population density should probably have the highest death rates (% of those who get COVID who die of it.)
But then you look at reality and see states like Mississippi, which has the sixth-highest death rate while standing 34th in population density. Or Black Hills Barbie's South Dakota, 27th in highest death rate and 47th in population density.
Of the 13 most egregious underperformers, nine are double-Trumpist: both in current governor and in November POTUS vote.
Only two are Double D's so to speak.

The densest states are the ones leaning Democratic and therefore the ones tending to have the better vaccination rates. The rest will be relegated to the future Covidfederacy.

I’d love Rick Stain’s take on this nationwide regression.
