Maybe we owe the Tide Pod eaters an apology.

 

It’s interesting because the dewormer crowd is made up heavily of people who mocked millennials for tide pods.

 

When is the last time someone went into any hospital and said "wait, um does that medicine/shot contain some US/Liberal/ultra-secret conspiracy?" Dammit, its 2021 and NOW you're wondering? When you/your sibling/parent/friend was under full anesthesia undergoing surgery, you didn't think to raise those questions then and postpone the surgery? Oh but now you're questioning the science of the medicine?

 

Almost a week since mask mandate in stores started here. As usual, most folks get it. But the assholes stick with you. We're a little better prepared this time, having disposable masks at the POS for self-check for people who "forgot."

Coaches award to one maskless guy last night who, obviousl drunk or buzzed, tried to buy a four-pack of hard seltzer and was refused. Spent much of the next hour outside trying to get someone to buy for him and avoiding being taken for a night of dinner and dancing at the local greybar hotel, then came into my line again. Still maskless, still buzzed. Got refused again.

 

I even drink hard seltzer, but in this case you have the right to mock him for drinking hard seltzer.

 

I always recall what one member here called it (slightly misquoting): Zima with a kick.

 

We really are aware that social media drives all of this.

What’s it like in Hampton Roads? We’re headed there for a wedding in October. Postponed twice last year and if it wasn’t for my wife’s 100-year old grandmother, we probably wouldn’t go.

 

My mom just got her booster shot today at a local supermarket. She doesn't drive so a friend from her retirement community took her. While my mom was getting the shot, some jagoff went up to her friend in the waiting area and shouted "don't do it!!! God will protect me."

My mom's friend is a woman of science (retired chem teacher) and she just shook her head at this fool. To hell with him for bothering my mom's friend.
