The man who was the partner of my late sister-in-law for about 20 years died of Covid this week (they never married because she would have lost major survivor benefits from her first husband). He remarried after my SIL died of cancer in 2017 and veered to the right. I'm sure he wasn't vaccinated. His new wife and his brother also got sick but lived.

So sad, and so unnecessary. He was a great guy. But I can't muster up much empathy for him. And I expect my late SIL is ready to kick his ass for being stupid.

 

Got my booster since we’re leaving the Northeast for the first time since 2019 to see family. Kids just got their first dose. At this point, I don’t have sympathy for anyone who is eligible and doesn’t get the shot.
