The Hold Steady, London Weekender. Three straight nights of pure joy. I will do this again. Several people I met said this was as good as they’ve ever been, and they’ve been to a lot of shows. It was incredible, and I’m currently recharging by wandering aimlessly around the Museum of Natural History.

COVID test negative. That was far too anxiety inducing. I do love London but I had no interest in having to isolate here for five days with an asymptomatic case. Hopefully next March we won't have to worry about that.

Gotta say, spent Sunday night in a sweaty mosh pit, and then the Monday night ride home from Tottenham might as well been a mosh pit, with how packed the train was after the Everton match. Was definitely masked all day on transit as an extra precaution.

I’ll say it again, the testing requirement to return to the US for fully/vaxxed boosted citizens does not jibe with the current state of vaccine/mask mandate restrictions around the country. It’s outdated and I hope it changes soon. Would have been ridiculous to be stranded here for five days with an asymptomatic case.
