The “hospitalizations” line is really misleading.

In the most recent wave, Covid didn’t cause the spike of hospitalizations. Rather, the numbers were a “Covid with”-fueled event.

How do we know? The ICU numbers never spiked commensurately along with hospitalizations. Plus, the curve was much narrower. It shot up and shot down.

Not that it isn’t a thing or BA2 isn’t coming.
