I think the trouble generally with Twitter and social media is that most folks have very little judgment of any kind in the first place.

Masking on the NYC subway yesterday: > 90%

Between vacation and a work schedule which has been too busy during commuting hours to actually make it into my NYC office, I haven’t been on public transportation since the masking rules changed. My understanding is that I don’t have to wear a mask on the bus because it’s operated by NJ Transit, but I do need to wear one when I am in Port Authority Bus Terminal because it is run by a different agency. Seems weird.

 

So 3,515 of those Brit flights took off?

Still made money. Just not as much.

 

Last Wednesday, I flew from NYC to Charlotte, a day or so after the travel mask ruling. Sixty percent, I would say, were wearing masks in the airport and on the plane.

On Friday, I flew back. Two percent were wearing masks in the airport. It was somewhat better on the plane.

 

Even with the usual caveats, oof.

 

It was pretty shocking. I was actually waiting to get chirped by some dumbass down there. Surprised it didn't happen.

The Biden messaging on COVID-19 has actually been worse than Trumps. With Trump you didn't believe any of it, but with Biden its kinda true, trueish, accurate or bullcrap. I almost wonder if the WH is pissed because they wanted to make a major address with Biden announcing it. Like you see when there is a major perp caught, but the wait until some political hack can be briefed so THEY can make the announcement not the cops in on the bust.
