It's not upupup until deaths are up.

There is a definite upslope in cases and hospitalizations, but not yet a spike which would be alarming. The BA2 variant is just taking longer to pass through, which is fine and expected.

We still haven't gotten to Memorial Day and the first slice of the Pi. What good Trumper hates Pi?

You know what sucks more? The relatives of the 1 million people who’ve died thanks in large part to government indifference. You’ll probably be back on the road, kid. They won’t.

Mr. McKittrick, after very careful consideration I've come to the conclusion that your COVID defense system sucks.

I don't know if there is a worse job assignment in media than "covering" the WHCD. You've worked hard to become a journo in DC and you have to cover colleagues and peers arriving for some dipshit event? Dress up even? The only thing that might make it manageable is enjoying the shame of "serious journos" showing up at the event having to regale advertisers and b-list celebrities.

Breaking: Nearly 15 million more people than expected died during the pandemic, according to the WHO. That far exceeds Covid death tolls reported by countries.
