You could elect to not engage someone who just comes here to throw bombs under the guise of "asking questions" and "presenting alternate opinions."

I'm sure it's a bastardization of what I said. Or more likely a bastardization of something someone else said that I linked. Same as claiming I said "it should have been 100%."

We all have different expectations. If yours have been completely met, good on you.

The sad truth is that even with a vaccine that was 100 percent effective, COVID would still be here to stay.

“I do not recall, Senator, if I indeed said that. If I did say that, my words are being misconstrued to eliminate the intent of those words, but I do not recall saying those words,”

I found it. And naturally, it was a response to you, who managed to misunderstand it then as well.

Notice I said "OR by vaccine." Kind of an important distinction, no? It was sure never going to end by hiding from it and just hoping it would go away.

Because I had some high hopes if/when a vaccine was developed. In January 2021 I figured by now this thread would be about as active as the Trump Cheats at Golf thread.

But yet you still threw out herd immunity. You still pushed it as a possibility. And now you attack that same vaccine that was an “oh and I guess that can be an option too” for you.

You hated the lock downs. You used bullshit to stop lock downs before a vaccine. Now you think the vaccines are not effective because even though a large number of people haven’t gotten it and the virus is mutating (which you conveniently omit) they haven’t stopped people getting it and dying from it. But I’m the one who is bad because all of your BS qualifiers some how indemnify you. Ok, Jan.

Yeah, I "threw it out" because it was obvious the country wasn't going to stand for lockdowns until a vaccine that as far as we knew was still years away became available. Options seemed pretty slim then. Pretty much every idea had awful side effects.

Which had worse side effects: being locked in while we tried to get hospitalizations under control and a possible vaccine OR open the doors for herd immunity? Which one stands to kill more people? I’ll give you a hint: it isn’t not catching a virus…
